Role Description:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing facilities management provider for an experienced Cleaning Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.

This is a key operational role, reporting directly to the Operations Director, with responsibility for the performance and development of a team of five Account Managers and overall service delivery across a varied portfolio of clients.

The Role:

You will take ownership of operational performance, client satisfaction, and team leadership across multiple contracts within sectors including education, local authority, healthcare, automotive, and commercial office environments. This is a strategic and hands-on position requiring strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive continuous improvement. Offers genuine scope to progress influence on the business, moving to Director level status.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of Account Managers
  • Ensuring high standards of service delivery across all client sites
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a senior escalation point
  • Monitoring KPIs and implementing performance improvements
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and ongoing development of teams
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
  • Contributing to wider operational and strategic objectives

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within a contract cleaning business (essential)
  • Experience managing multi-site contracts and teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • A structured, proactive, and commercially aware approach
  • The ability to travel and commute to Bedford
  • Residence within the Home Counties (preferred)
  • United Kingdom
