Description
Love creating content that connects with real communities? Ready to bring stories to life across digital platforms and shape how a city communicates with its people? This is your chance to play a key role in delivering engaging, timely and meaningful content that reaches thousands.
You'll sit at the heart of our Communications team, helping deliver a vibrant and consistent social presence. From planning and publishing through to community interaction and performance insights, you'll help ensure our digital voice is clear, responsive and impactful.
This is a hands-on role where creativity meets coordination - working across teams to showcase services, events and community moments while keeping content relevant, engaging and on time.
What you'll do
- Create and publish engaging social content that keeps our channels active, relevant and on brand
- Plan and manage the content calendar, coordinating with teams to ensure timely and consistent messaging
- Monitor channels, respond to the community and help maintain a positive, respectful online presence
- Turn data and insights into smarter content and stronger engagement
- Support social media campaigns and identify new ideas, trends and opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to staff to lift confidence and consistency across social media use
- Work closely with Communications, digital and internal stakeholders to bring stories and services to life
This role offers a salary of $83,480 – $95,636 plus 12% super, along with a monthly ADO to support work–life balance.
Skills And Experiences
What you'll need
- Experience managing social media in a professional environment with strong content instincts
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple pieces of work without losing quality
- Confidence using social media, scheduling and analytics tools
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- A collaborative, proactive mindset and ability to build positive working relationships
- Understanding of digital trends, algorithms and what drives engagement
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical improvements
- Qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media or similar (or equivalent experience)
