Position Summary:
The Dock Attendant will perform a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth operation of the docks.  The Dock Attendant will work in a safe and efficient manner while providing a high level of customer service to all guests.  This position reports to the Dock Manager.
 
*Please note this is a contract/seasonal position*

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide amazing hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in RESPECT Service System
Manage guest traffic flow on and off the docks
Follow safety protocols to ensure the protection of passengers and the vessel
Handle lines to moor vessels to dock
Ensure docks are clean and free of any debris
Answer general inquiries and provide information about facility
Immediately report any incidents or safety concerns to Dock Manager
Provide amazing customer service and assist guests with questions or concerns and relay information to Dock Manager
Assist Food & Beverage team with daily food delivery and restock of boats
Follows all safety policies, departmental policies, and service standards
Adheres to all health and safety regulations
Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time
Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards
Additional job duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education
Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers
Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others
Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential
If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip shoes, gloves, weather appropriate dress attire, sun protection)
Valid Ontario driver's license, Class G2 or higher
Walk, stand, sit and work in all types of weather conditions for extended periods
Will work for extended periods of time without sitting
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 40 pounds (18 kilograms)
Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays
