Their programs are designed to serve all individuals, with special initiatives that support children, seniors, infants, pregnant mothers, and individuals with specialized dietary needs.

They are seeking a Development and Marketing Coordinator to lead engagement initiatives, manage third-party fundraising efforts, and amplify COFB's presence in the community. This dynamic role blends marketing, communications, and community outreach, with both hands-on and strategic responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Development and Operations team to inspire support, create compelling content, manage events, and maintain strong community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Third-Party Fundraising & Community Engagement

  • Build and steward a pipeline of community partners, volunteers, and event organizers to maintain and grow engagement year over year.
  • Represent COFB at community events, leaving a lasting, positive impression with high energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
  • Inspire individuals, service groups, and corporations to support COFB, clearly communicating the impact of their contributions.

Marketing & Digital Communications

  • Create and schedule engaging content for traditional and digital platforms, including social media, newsletters, website, and press materials.
  • Design marketing assets and graphics for internal and external use, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Write compelling communications such as press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and other materials to tell COFB's story.
  • Track and analyze marketing campaigns, social media engagement, and digital content effectiveness to refine strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and approaches, experimenting with new opportunities to reach and engage the community.

Stewardship & Administration

  • Maintain accurate event files, donor databases, and financial information for fundraising initiatives.
  • Support research and data collection to inform programs and engagement strategies.
  • Manage donor stewardship programs, ensuring consistent recognition and follow-up with stakeholders.
  • Work autonomously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and provide administrative support across the team as needed.

Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, community development, or related field preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Graphic design experience is required.
  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement an asset.
  • Knowledge of non-profit marketing trends, social media management, and digital campaigns.
  • Exceptional relationship management and written/oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Mailchimp; experience with Google Analytics and donor databases an asset.
  • Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
