Onsite in Cincinnati, OH We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend Java Development. Our client is a prominent U.S. financial institution, part of a major bank holding company, and has an extensive branch and ATM network across multiple states. $60.00 to $72.00/hr. w2 Your Responsibilities Will Include: Identifying and inventorying documents, metadata, workflows, and lifecycles for migration or integration. Mapping source data structures to target FileNet schemas using custom Java code. Transforming and normalizing metadata, document types, and folder structures as necessary. Migrating versioned documents accurately and completely. Preserving document lifecycle states and retention policies during the migration process. Migrating audit data and updating tables to maintain audit trails, version history, and security classifications. Validating data integrity and accuracy in target object stores. Creating and executing re-indexing jobs per organizational standards. Building reconciliation processes to track migration progress and outcomes. Recreating or migrating workflows from the FileNet Process Engine and validating routing logic. Reviewing and developing custom code for migration, reporting, and data extraction. Re-establishing integrations for downstream and upstream systems, including API development. Conducting test migrations with representative data and supporting defect resolution. Documenting rollback and recovery procedures for partial or failed migrations. Performing application design, coding, debugging, testing, and performance tuning across the full lifecycle. Maintaining and documenting software functionality while ensuring compliance to standards. Integrating software with existing systems and evaluating new technologies for implementation. Experience Requirements: Proven hands-on Java development experience for data migration, integration, and API services. Familiarity with FileNet object stores, document classes, properties, workflows, and Process Engine. Experience in mobile web development. Proficient in data mapping, transformation, normalization, and reconciliation. Background in preserving retention policies, lifecycle states, and audit trails. Ability to design and execute re-indexing and validation jobs. Experience with workflow recreation, routing logic, and exception handling. Full lifecycle application development experience including design, coding, debugging, and testing. Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills with software modeling. Knowledge of front-end graphical user interface concepts and software quality assurance. Experience in performance tuning, usability, and automation for enterprise applications. Capable of integrating software with existing systems and maintaining compliance to standards. Educational Requirements: Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
