The role of a Border Patrol Agent is multifaceted and challenging. As a representative of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, you will be responsible for safeguarding America's borders, preventing illicit activity, and enhancing national economic prosperity.

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents, possessions, and analyzing information to determine citizenship or violations.


• Preventing aliens from entering or leaving the country at unauthorized ports through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Interpreting tracks, marks, physical evidence left behind by persons trying to sneak across the border into your jurisdiction as well as in pursuit roles.
