The Analytics Engineering team plays a crucial role in connecting data engineering, data science, and business analytics by creating scalable, impactful data solutions. Our mission is to convert raw data into actionable insights through robust pipelines, thoughtfully designed data models, and tools that empower stakeholders organization-wide to make informed, data-driven decisions. What We Do: Trusted Data Sources:
Develop and sustain foundational data models that act as the single source of truth for analytics throughout the organization.
Actionable Insights:
Empower stakeholders by translating business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards, and tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work alongside engineering, data science, product, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and data solutions.
Scalable Data Products:
Construct frameworks, tools, and workflows maximizing efficiency for data users while upholding high standards of data quality and performance.
Outcome-Focused Solutions:
Utilize modern development and analytics tools to deliver value swiftly, with a focus on long-term maintainability.
What You'll Be Doing: The Analytics Engineer role blends Data Engineer, Data Scientist, and Business Analyst responsibilities, requiring an in-depth understanding of data flows and the engineering toolkit to extract maximum value (either by building tables or delivering insights). Become the Expert:
Quickly establish subject matter expertise in a specific business area and data domain, comprehending data flows from creation to delivery.
Generate Business Value:
Collaborate with stakeholders on data and products to extract maximum commercial value from data.
Focus on Outcomes, Not Tools:
Explore various frameworks to identify the optimal tools for delivering value.
What We Look For in You: In addition to innovative thinking, meticulous attention to detail, urgency, autonomy, and accountability, we expect you to possess the following skills: Data Modeling Expertise:
Strong grasp of best practices for designing modular and reusable data models.
Prompt Design and Engineering:
Knowledge in prompt engineering for LLMs, enhancing response accuracy and performance for internal tools.
Advanced SQL:
Proficiency in advanced SQL for data transformation and querying.
Intermediate to Advanced Python:
Skill in scripting and automation, with experience in Object-Oriented Programming.
Collaboration and Communication:
Ability to convey technical concepts into business value for cross-functional teams.
Data Pipeline Development:
Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines with modern tools.
Data Visualization:
Capability to create polished dashboards using visualization tools.
Development Tools:
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and modern workflows.
Data Architecture:
Knowledge of modern data lake/warehouse architectures.
Business Acumen:
Understanding of business challenges through analytics engineering.
Data Savvy:
Awareness of statistics and probability.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms and familiarity with containerization tools.
