Position Overview
Our client, a recognized leader in the Power Engineering industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Inside Sales Engineer to support bid management, proposal development, and technical sales coordination.
This role offers exposure to cutting-edge electrical equipment and the opportunity to contribute to complex power engineering projects while collaborating closely with outside sales, engineering, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer bid requests and internal quotation requests
Research and identify online bid opportunities
Analyze and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and addendums
Clarify electrical testing scope of work with customer estimators, project managers, and engineers of record
Obtain vendor pricing for equipment repairs, parts, and related services
Prepare detailed computer-based cost estimates
Participate in bid strategy meetings as required
Generate bid reports, track project status, and monitor purchase orders
Prepare draft proposals for the Outside Sales Engineer
Work closely with the Outside Sales Engineer throughout the sales cycle
Facilitate contract hand-off to Operations and Engineering, including documentation of project assumptions
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within electrical power or related industries
Alternatively, experience with electrical equipment distributors
Strong background in electrical power systems and equipment
Experience with a PEARL member company is considered a strong asset
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
