OVERVIEW:
The Digital Product team at Alberta Blue Cross continues to grow in scale, complexity, and impact. To support this growth, we are seeking a Manager, Digital Product Management and Operations to lead our product management practice and strengthen how digital products are planned, delivered, and measured.
This role provides people leadership for all Digital Product Managers (DPMs) and Digital Product Owners (DPOs) and is accountable for product operations across the digital product portfolio. The Manager ensures product teams operate with clarity, consistency, and a strong focus on customer and business outcomes.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Product Portfolio & Governance, this role plays a critical part in enabling effective product execution, orchestrating portfolio‑level planning, and supporting the successful delivery of digital strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
People leadership and capability development
Lead, coach, and develop Digital Product Managers and Product Owners.
Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards.
Support career development and progression across product roles.
Foster a culture of accountability, customer‑centricity, learning, and continuous improvement.
Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for the digital product team.
Product Management leadership
Ensure each product has a clear vision, roadmap, success metrics, and accountable ownership.
Partner with the Director to support prioritization and sequencing across the portfolio.
Identify cross‑product dependencies, risks, and opportunities to optimize value delivery.
Collaborate closely with technology, business, and operations partners to ensure alignment.
Product operations and ways of working
Lead product intake, planning, and roadmap management processes.
Lead portfolio planning deliverables and quarterly planning rhythms.
Improve delivery predictability, cross‑team coordination, and operational efficiency.
Strategy enablement and execution support
Support the execution of digital product strategy and compliance of the digital standards.
Lead analysis and synthesis for multi-product strategic initiatives and emerging problem spaces.
Prepare consumable insights, recommendations, and trade‑off options.
Lead various product release communication and quality control with participants.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
8+ years of experience in digital product management, product operations, or related roles.
3+ years of experience leading and developing product managers, product owners, or similar roles.
Experience working in complex, cross‑functional environments.
Strong understanding of product discovery, delivery, portfolio planning, and Agile ways of working.
Comfort using data and metrics to inform prioritization and performance discussions.
Experience in regulated or complex industries (e.g., insurance, healthcare, or financial services) is an asset.
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Mural, Figma, , and Microsoft 365.
