Position: Content Creator & Marketing Coordinator

We're seeking a creative Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator to drive customer acquisition through compelling short-form video content and strategic Facebook/Instagram advertising campaigns. You'll be the visual storyteller who brings our sustainable food ecosystem to life through engaging video narratives while managing paid advertising campaigns that convert viewers into loyal customers.
Our marketing coordinator must be a passionate brand storyteller with a journalist's mindset and an obsession with content performance, reporting, and analytics.
Become a Digital Marketing Expert, Fast
This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to become a digital marketing expert, quickly. The chosen candidate will be paired with an industry-leading marketing training program that provides a proven blueprint for building a new marketing system from scratch. Weekly support through video calls with a supervisor provides further guidance and expertise as you work to implement a new marketing system.

Coopérative Aliments Farmhouse Food Cooperative keeps kitchens in the National Capital Region stocked year-round with seasonal produce and goods. Our online store allows eaters to place one-time orders or sign up for weekly or bi-weekly deliveries straight to their homes. We're working towards an independent food system that values ecological production, unparalleled quality, and a strong connection between producer and consumer.
We're entering an exciting new chapter, focused on growing our online grocery business by helping individuals and families who value health and convenience eat better and cook at home more often. By creating compelling offers and educating consumers, we aim to bridge the gap between early adopters and the mainstream market, expand the demand for sustainable food, and grow the local food ecosystem as a whole.
Typical Weekly Duties For a Content & Marketing Coordinator
Content publication, be it text (blog articles), video, or audio (podcasts).
Interviewing internal subject matter experts for content.
Company email marketing efforts, including newsletters and automated workflows.
Ownership of all analytics and reporting for content marketing efforts.
Social media for community engagement and long-term content promotion.
Premium content production, including ebooks, webinars, educational content, etc.
Creating landing pages and conversion opportunities for lead generation.
General website updates and enhancements, e.g., new pages and calls-to-action placement.
Professional development and continued education in relevant areas (e.g., paid advertising, email marketing, AI tools, data analytics, etc.).
How Success Will Be Measured
Performance will be measured on the following items:
New customer acquisitions
Order frequency
Average order value
Return on investment of marketing efforts.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, public relations, or related communications field preferred. Equivalent experience is also accepted.
Required Skills
The role requires a combination of marketing and publishing mindsets, always leading with a customer-first mentality. In essence, the Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator is the company storyteller and must be empathetic toward the customer's pain points.
Specific Skills Required Include
Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language.
Great at telling a story using words, images, audio, or video and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.
The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach.
Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
Incredible people skills.
Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools, and marketing solutions through training.
Job Details
Compensation: $22–$26 an hour based on experience plus performance bonuses based on achievable sales targets
Schedule: 30 hours a week with flexible hours
Location: Work from home; must be based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region for quarterly team meetings. Access to high-speed internet is mandatory.
Paid Vacation: Two weeks a year
This role is designed to grow with you as an individual contributor or as a manager.
