Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a PARTS HANDLER to join our team
What You Will Do:
This role is responsible for picking and filling orders from stock for customers while managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse stock
Verify customer orders are correct before packaging for shipment
Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
Re-stock shelves and move parts
Assist customers when looking for parts
May assist with loading vehicles, shipping, and receiving
May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker is required
High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate or Diploma
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including daily lifting of 50 pounds or more, and occasionally lifting over 100 pounds with assistance; constant standing, walking, pushing and pulling of pallet jacks or shopping carts within FGI facilities; reaching and working at varying heights; and climbing stairs and/or ladders.
Experience operating a forklift, using a RF scanner and familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required
A valid driver's license and a recent driver's abstract demonstrating no major infractions and minimal minor infractions, as defined by Company standards is preferred but not required
Occasionally required to work Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
