The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is a place of energy, enthusiasm and passion. The Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health (SAMIH) at UTSC will be a hub for health professional education in the Eastern Greater Toronto Area. Working with regional hospitals and other clinical and community partners, SAMIH will be home to Temerty Faculty of Medicine's Physician Assistant (BScPA) program and be an additional site for distributed delivery of the MD and Physical Therapy programs. Sharing the building with Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacy and Clinical Psychology clinics, and housing the UTSC Undergraduate Health Sciences programs, this opportunity will be part of the Temerty Medicine team at SAMIH.
The Rehabilitation Sciences Sector (RSS) in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine is a world leader in the delivery of rehabilitation sciences health professional programs and research. The RSS is comprised of four essential departments: Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (OSOT), Department of Physical Therapy (PT), Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI), and the Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
As Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of physical therapy programming at the SAMIH, ensuring that daily activities run smoothly and program requirements are met. Drawing on your organizational strengths and attention to detail, you will help sustain the curriculum by keeping documentation accurate, managing exam and course information, and coordinating evaluations, meetings, and related academicactivities. Your practical problem‑solving skills and ability to support equipment, workspaces, and operational needs will be essential to maintaining an efficient and effective learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact, responding to inquiries, and tracking and monitoring curriculum issues
- Coordinating the preparation of space, materials and equipment required for daily programming activities
- Maintaining curriculum maps and preparing and disseminating curriculum cycle timetables
- Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
- Updating and maintaining database records
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum two years' of related experience in a University or equivalent environment
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support to academic programs, including coordinating course materials, assessment and evaluations
- Experience preparing curriculum and/or examination timetables
- Experience working effectively in fast paced team environments and providing front-line support to academic leaders and committees
- Experience supporting the setup of laboratory and clinic equipment and workstations
- Experience drafting correspondence, maintaining databases, and generating reports
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel), student information systems, learning and content management systems, survey tools, and virtual meeting platforms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills, with an ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to keep others on track in a collaborative manner
- Demonstrated ability to workwith a wide range of stakeholders, including but not limited to students, staff, and faculty
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a team environment

USW Pay Band $67,916. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $86,855. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
