We are looking for 2 Buyers.
As a Buyer at FLUXWERX, you will manage a portfolio of parts that may include mechanical, plastics, electrical, packaging, etc. You are adept at finding solutions to Supply Chain challenges through collaboration with our vendors and thinking "outside the box". We are a Build to Order manufacturing facility which requires a combination of strategic planning and tactical adjustments to accommodate changing requirements that are time sensitive.

What You'll Do:
Work closely with internal departments by creating jobs, scheduling, planning & prioritizing to ensure smooth operation
In conjunction with key stakeholders, develop and maintain a supplier evaluation program.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships -Investigate and develop sources of supply, whether for new scope or new Suppliers
Own the relationship of key Supplier / Commodity parts
Issue and analyze RFQs, RFI's, RFP's
Evaluate the best source and negotiate terms and conditions of orders in accordance with company policies and best practices
Issue and maintain purchase orders and internal job orders and monitor vendor promise dates through to delivery
Follow-up with vendors, suppliers, and internal customers, resolving outstanding issues as required
Manage inventory levels of parts by utilizing various supply chain strategies
Monitor and execute engineering changes including drawing revisions to ensure a smooth implementation into Manufacturing.
Participate in the non-conformance process, including liaising with vendors, to ensure root cause analysis, error cause removal and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
Minimum of 2 years purchasing experience, preferably in a high-tech manufacturing environment or an equivalent of proven experience/knowledge in inventory management and demand forecasting.
Completion of recognized post-secondary Business Diploma/Technical Diploma, in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related.
Keen attention to detail and follow through for assigned tasks.
Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (experience with Syteline and APS considered an asset).
Familiarity with Bills of Materials and Cost Roll-ups
Global supply management, logistics and customs experience is an asset
Ability to interpret engineering drawings is an asset
SCMP/CPIM certification an asset
Experience buying the following commodities is considered an asset:
Extruded Metals
Fabricated and Machined parts
Painting (Powder Coating)
Anodizing
Subcontracting
Injection molded plastics
