We are seeking a highly skilled, bilingual (French/English) Financial Controller to provide strategic financial leadership and support ongoing growth.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Bilingual Financial Controller will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions for the PKW Knife Systems division. This role requires a strong communicator who excels in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and collaborates closely with leadership, operations, and corporate finance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP & REPORTING
• Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including AR/AP, payroll, general ledger, and divisional financial results.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide financial insights, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and strategic recommendations.
BUDGETING, FORECASTING & COST MANAGEMENT
• Lead budgeting cycles, forecasts, and long‑range planning.
• Conduct cost analysis and margin reviews to support operational and commercial decisions.
• Monitor division performance and ensure financial alignment with strategic objectives.
COMPLIANCE, CONTROLS & AUDIT
• Maintain strong internal controls aligned with ASPE accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting requirements and corporate governance.
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory reporting.
CASH FLOW & ASSET MANAGEMENT
• Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and fixed assets.
• Support working capital optimization and operational efficiency.
CROSS‑FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive financial discipline.
• Provide decision‑support tools, reporting packages, and financial modeling.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• CPA designation preferred (or combination of equivalent education + experience).
• Strong knowledge of ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises).
EXPERIENCE
• 5–10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environments is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams (supervision, coaching, development).
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Excel.

• Fully bilingual: French & English (written and verbal).
