This contract role is best suited for a detail-oriented designer who excels at working within established design systems and visual rules. You will be responsible for final visual quality assurance across affirmation decks for a premium, high-end wellness brand, ensuring strict adherence to layout, hierarchy, accessibility, and brand standards.
This role prioritizes precision and consistency. It is not a creative or conceptual design role.
What the work looks like
Review Canva files against the established Visual QA Checklist
Verify hierarchy, spacing, alignment, and layer structure
Confirm deck-specific card rules (texture logic, content placement, background usage)
Identify inconsistencies and propose specific, rule-based corrections via Canva comments
Review accessibility against WCAG AA standards and flag or recommend corrections related to contrast, readability, and hierarchy
Clearly distinguish between rule-based violations and optional aesthetic suggestions. Subjective feedback should be minimal and only provided when it meaningfully affects brand consistency.
Track QA status and checklist completion for each deck in Trello
Verify that requested changes have been correctly implemented
Tag decks for final approval once all QA criteria are met
Not included in this role
Review or editing of affirmation text or copy
Changes to approved color palettes or iconography
Creative reinterpretation of layouts or visual systems
"Design improvements" unless explicitly requested
Required skills
Advanced Canva proficiency (layers, grouping, locking, templates)
Exceptional attention to detail (borderline obsessive)
Experience with print-ready layouts and/or production QA
Ability to follow detailed written rules without deviation
Comfort working from checklists and structured processes

Visual QA Design Test
Short-listed candidates will be given a practical QA test designed to take approximately 60 minutes. The test will assess attention to detail, ability to follow visual rules, and comfort working within an established design system.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
