As a Data Engineer for this strategic engagement, you will be the architect of the data foundation required for automated commercial reporting. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust ETL pipelines and data models that serve as the "single source of truth" for the Client's commercial functions, including receivables and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Data Integration & ETL: Design and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from diverse source systems, including ERPs, SQL databases, APIs, and flat files.
Data Architecture: Build and optimize high-performance data models using Star Schema methodologies to support complex analytical requirements.
Pipeline Automation: Implement scheduling and monitoring for data workflows to ensure high data availability and reliability for downstream Power BI dashboards.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all data pipelines adhere to strict data protection standards, utilizing encryption and secure connectivity protocols (VPN/VDI).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Participate in discovery workshops in Dubai to map technical data requirements to business KPIs.
Data Quality: Implement rigorous data cleansing, transformation rules, and automated reconciliation scripts to validate data accuracy against source systems.
Technical Requirements
Database Mastery: Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and T-SQL for complex data manipulation.
Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks).
ETL Tools: Proven expertise in building enterprise-grade data pipelines and managing large-scale data migrations.
Languages: Strong proficiency in SQL and for data processing.
DevOps & QA: Experience with CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins) and automated testing frameworks to ensure pipeline stability.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Experience: Prior experience in data engineering for the Real Estate, Construction, or Finance sectors within the UAE.
Regional Context: Familiarity with the reporting standards of large-scale Dubai-based enterprises.
Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical data structures and business-centric reporting needs.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 40 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Microsoft Excel, Python, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Visual Basic for Applications
