We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of finance operations at Picterra, a fast-growing GeoAI SaaS company.
The role starts in a transition phase with our current Head of Accounting and is expected to evolve rapidly into a full-time position.
You will report directly to the CFO and play a key role in structuring and professionalizing the finance function as the company scales.

Picterra is a Swiss-based GeoAI company providing environmental intelligence through AI-powered geospatial analytics. We operate a SaaS subscription model and serve international clients.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations and supporting strategic financial planning.
This is a hands-on position requiring autonomy, precision, and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Compliance
• Full-cycle accounting: GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, provisions
• Ensure compliance with "Swiss" GAAP FER
• Prepare annual financial statements
• Coordinate annual audit and liaise with auditors
• Manage tax advisors relationship
• VAT reporting (Swiss & potentially international)
Operations & Financial Management
• Payroll processing (Winbiz)
• SaaS invoicing & cash collection follow-up
• Cash management & treasury oversight
• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Budget tracking & variance analysis
Strategic Finance Support
• Financial modelling & budgeting
• Support CFO in structuring financial processes
• Improve internal controls and reporting efficiency
• Contribute to scaling finance operations for future growth
Required Profile
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business
• Experience with Odoo
• Plus Experience with Winbiz payroll
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (all reporting & models are built in Google Sheets)
• Fluent English (mandatory)
• French is a strong plus
• Experience in Swiss SME or startup environment preferred
• Daily availability during business days (Monday to Friday) is essential
This role requires regular interaction with management, operational teams, auditors, and external advisors. The position is not compatible with limited weekly availability or fragmented engagement.
