JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineering Project Coordinator provides technical guidance and expertise to all departments on the introduction of new equipment and technologies and implementation of process improvement opportunities.
JOB TASKS:
Project Management of New Equipment, New Technologies, and Process Improvement Initiatives:
- Ensure project objectives are identified, and appropriate resources and budgetary information have been prepared
- Develop layouts and corresponding drawings, as required
- Coordinates activities resulting from the process planning process
- Provides technical resources and guidance to departments involved
- Prepares and formats resulting documentation and training materials
- Coordinates supplier, contractor, and maintenance activities to complete implementation
- Ensures effective implementation for optimization of plant efficiencies
- Ensure proper equipment commissioning
- Coordinates resulting employee training requirements
- Manages projects to completion and ensures records of project are completed
Environmental, Health and Safety Programs
- Assists with development and maintenance of Health and Safety and Environmental programs and with raising employee awareness of related topics
- Ensures compliance to government regulations as applicable to projects
- Assists with internal and third-party facility inspections/audits
Product Safety Programs (SQF)
- Participates as a HACCP and/or Food Defense team member, as requested by the applicable SQF Practitioner, to support product safety requirements as outlined in the Management System
- Ensures all project activities remain in compliance with applicable SQF needs and GMP's
Facility / Building Systems
- Monitors and maintains building envelope and corresponding control systems as well as shared infrastructure including but not limited to HVAC, chilling systems, Building Security, Camera Systems, Locker area controls, etc.
Provides Training
- Will be expected to train for and provide employee training on various job-related topics such as fall protection, MEWP usage, contractor awareness, building security and camera systems as needed.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
- Must have proven ability to multi-task effectively
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have a demonstrated strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; detail-oriented
REQUIRMENTS:
- Complete testing per WIN_0069 – General Hiring Practice Guidelines
- Previous applicable experience coordinating projects and/or resources in a Manufacturing setting.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with sound judgement.
- Ability to learn various software packages including Sketch-Up Pro, AutoCAD and Solidworks.
PREFERRED:
- Engineering Technology degree (Industrial or Mechanical) with applicable experience or a Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
