Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is recruiting a Warehouse Technician to join the team in Fox Creek, Alberta. This position will support Pembina operations in Fox Creek and surrounding areas. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor as part of Pembina's Operations Business Division.
As a Warehouse Technician you will coordinate the shipping and receiving of the locations' warehouse of supplies and materials, reporting on inventory and cost controls, and performing all duties required in compliance with corporate safety standards, regulatory requirements and industry accepted best practices.
Guided by Pembina's values, Supply Chain collaborates across the Organization ensuring that all supply chain activities are executed with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and are in strict adherence to Pembina's policies. Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Data Management in SAP:

  • Run MRP reservation report in SAP and work with Buyer to ensure components are ordered and received in a timely manner;
  • Replenish inventory through analysis of MRP proposals;
  • In conjunction with Operations and Maintenance stakeholders, identify & document excess, obsolete or slow-moving inventory;
  • In conjunction with SME's, identify new material master requirements and construct creation requests as per Pembina's taxonomy; assist in material master look ups;
  • Perform physical inventory and cycle counts as required;
  • Review stocking strategies with stakeholders as required;
  • On-going maintenance of material master data; and
  • Optimize inventory through stock transfers.

Material Handling:

  • Handle and store products in appropriate storage areas;
  • Complete Goods Issue/Receipt entries with required documentation in a timely manner;
  • Maintain and monitor equipment repairs via the subcontract PO repair process;
  • Organize and maintain storage locations within warehouse with correct SAP labelling;
  • Manage, update, requisition and restock plant warehouse parts and consumable inventories;
  • Issue items from inventory based on sign out sheets from warehouse shelves;
  • Receive incoming materials in the warehouse and check for order completeness and quality;
  • Stage and communicate materials availability for Operations, Maintenance and Capital projects label and Cross-dock materials as demand and PO directs;
  • Processes customer and supplier returns; and
  • Pick/pack orders based on Operations and Maintenance work order requirements.

  • Provide coverage and additional resourcing as required for materials handling in the region;
  • Assist or coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries as required with Buyer and transport companies;
  • Participate in Maintenance planning activities;
  • Ensure warehouse inventory and storage facilities are organized as per existing standards;
  • Participate in and perform all duties required in compliance with Corporate SES standards, regulatory requirements and industry accepted best practices;
  • Respond to any emergency response needs as required by Pembina or regulatory agencies;
  • Continuously adapt to emerging technologies and evolving technical requirements by actively acquiring new skills, applying innovative solutions, and integrating feedback into daily problem-solving; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) years oil & gas experience related to supply chain management and materials control;
  • Asset-based industry experience such as forestry or mining may be considered;
  • Experience with SAP MM Module would be a significant asset;
  • Valid class five driver's license is required;
  • Ability to run a forklift and other material handling equipment (pallet jacks, skid steer, loader);
  • MS Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency is required in addition to document control experience;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus;
  • Parts and Warehouse Person Journeyman certification, is an asset;
  • Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by the Company to a successful applicant; and
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Fox Creek, AB.
This position is considered "Safety Sensitive" and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.
You may also be required to provide a Driver's Abstract.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
