**Customs and Border Protection Officer Role Overview

Candidates will be part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, tasked with protecting American interests and securing our nation by safeguarding borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations through inspections of individuals and conveyances;


• Facilitate legitimate trade flow while preventing smuggling operations;


• Conduct risk assessments to determine admissibility for entry into the United States;


• Detect suspicious activities related to contraband transportation or human trafficking;
