The Opportunity

As a Permit Associate, you will serve as a key point of contact for our electrical contractor network. You will support the permitting and inspection process, maintain contractor records, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced call centre environment.

You may be asked to work additional hours when business needs require, including supporting emergency or storm-response situations, which may occur within a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week operation.

Key elements of this role include:
  • Navigating and managing applications related to permitting and inspections

  • Creating, editing, cancelling, and refunding permits (including expired and outstanding permits)

  • Maintaining accurate contractor records

  • Scheduling inspections and discussing associated fees

  • Generating and distributing reports

  • Providing voice-based customer service and support

  • Ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations

  • Minimum of Grade 12 education (current post-secondary students encouraged to apply)

  • Customer service experience is required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage high volumes and work with urgency

  • Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy

  • Experience with CIS and Maximo software is considered a strong asset

  • Previous experience with Wiring Inspections and/or Wiring Permits is an asset

  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
