As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws. Your mission will be to detect and prevent illegal activity, while also ensuring public safety.

  • Your primary responsibilities will include detecting people suspected of violating immigration laws, questioning them, and inspecting their documents and possessions.
  • You will work closely with your team to maintain surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.

Education Substitution:

Fulfillment of any academic requirement for this position may be met by satisfactorily completing 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) or more toward a degree from an accredited college or university . However it is preferred that candidates have Bachelor’s degrees received before passing over forty years old if working as civilian federal law enforcement officers under US Code Title 5 U.S.C., section 8336(c), plus all exemptions listed on official sources about civil service retirement administration notice # CBPA-hr-no#CBPOA.
