Customs and Border Protection Officer

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency responsible for safeguarding America's borders, detaining suspected violators of laws and regulations.

An officer in this role must possess specialized experience including enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws; utilizing intelligence techniques to identify potential threats; conducting interviews with suspected violators for the purpose of gaining information on violation incidents; making rapid accurate judgments and decisions related to these activities.

• A minimum one year of specialized experience as defined by OPM at GS-8 level or equivalent that includes: Detaining suspected violators using proper methods
  Enforcing custom regulation
  Utilizing behavior analysis
