Job Title
Salary: $70-$85k + Commission Responsibilities: A professional who combines technical expertise with sales skills to sell complex services. Key responsibilities include preparing and delivering technical presentations, collaborating with sales teams to understand customer needs, and providing pre-sale support via preparing labor estimates for customer RFQ's. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical solutions and client requirements by explaining features in terms of business value and ensuring a solution meets customer challenges. This position must perform the following responsibilities with an awareness of all AS9100, ISO and departmental requirements. Act as a primary resource for technical support to the sales team and assist with closing deals. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain processes to current and potential customers. Prepare labor quotes based on customer-provided drawings, BOM's and Statement of Work. Work with customers and sales teams to determine requirements and match them with the right processes to determine if they are a good fit for production. Build strong relationships with clients by acting as a trusted technical advisor. Stay informed about industry news, products, services, and competitors to provide the best solutions. Other tasks as required. Qualifications Required: Experience: Minimum four years' experience in sales support or Technical Sales. Knowledge of electronic components and other technical aspects of the EMS business. Ability to read and interpret AVLs, Bills of Materials, drawings, customer specifications and requirements, and component data sheets. Computer Skills: Ability to use a variety of software tools to manage data useful to the customer. Software tools may include VisualCAM, SolidWorks, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, MRP databases or equivalent software. Good technical communication skills to interface with customer engineers and technicians. Knowledge of pricing and proposal models 10% travel may be required. Qualifications Desired: Education: Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent. Project Management Skills Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Knowledge of the customer capture process Knowledge of pricing methodologies such as mark-up, firm fixed, min/mults, etc. Contract Administration knowledge/experience Measures of Success: Track, maintain and report active prospects, target customers, and customer acquisitions. Customer order awards Number of active qualified prospects increase per quarter Increase in opportunities closed
