Job Description:

This is a career ladder position with the United States Customs and Border Protection. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

• Enforcing customs laws relating to importing and exporting merchandise from or to the United States.
• Facilitating trade between nations through enforcing regulations on goods entering or exiting US territories.
• Detecting suspicious activities for potential threats against national security as well as violation of import/export regulations

• You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.  You qualify for this role if you possess specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-9 grade level in one of these areas:  Detaining suspected violators,  Enforcing customs/immigration/agriculture laws,
  Utilizing intelligence techniques including behavior analysis, Intel gathering , and Conducting interviews.
