Border Patrol Agent Job Description


Duties and Responsibilities:


You will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.


  • Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws

  • Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens


  1. Interpreting and following tracks, marks, or other physical evidence  of illegal entry

highlights include:
patrolling international boundaries using government assets
We provide extensive training on firearms use,
citizen interaction techniques,
driving skills.
The Border Patrol work requires speaking Spanish as well as English. Formal Training occurs at U.S.B.P Academy in Artesia New Mexico.
