Customs Border Security Officer

Border Patrol Agents play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders, securing national integrity and protecting public interests.

• Identify and deter individuals attempting to cross international boundaries illegally by tracking suspects and conducting thorough interrogations.
• Conduct comprehensive patrols along land borders and coastal waterways on foot or via vehicle, maintaining situational awareness at all times.
• Analyze intelligence data to track down illicit activities and contraband, making informed decisions based on critical thinking skills.

The ideal candidate will possess prior law enforcement experience with a strong foundation in physical security operations. A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level is required, performing duties such as:

• Executing meticulous searches for weapons, evidence, currency, etc. during detentions using advanced techniques.
• Apprehending violators of state or federal laws through professional restraint or cooperation with other authorities when necessary.
