A Border Patrol Agent (BPA) is a law enforcement officer responsible for protecting the nation's borders from illegal entry, smuggling, and other threats. As a BPA, you will be part of an elite team working to safeguard America's sovereignty and economic prosperity.
Job Description:
As a BPA, your duties will include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented non-citizens and smugglers at or near the borders, interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols,
transportation checks patrol the international boundary coastal waterways using vehicles horses vessels watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- You must possess one year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge make sound decisions maintain composure in stressful situations learn regulations methods techniques classroom training on-the-job instruction gather concise information questioning observation examination documents records OR bachelor's degree successful completion full four-year course study field leading bachelor's degree accredited college university OR combination general work experience successfully completed college education calculated resume official unofficial transcripts submitted application.
