À propos

This is a specialist engineering role focused on designing, analysing and validating cutting-edge liquid-cooling systems for next-generation data centres and high-performance environments. You will lead technical development, shape product innovation, and work closely with customers and internal teams to create world-class cooling solutions.

Client Details

Our client is a global engineering leader known for developing advanced technologies in fluid control, thermal management and piping systems. They invest heavily in innovation and empower engineers to take ownership of high-impact technical projects in a rapidly evolving market.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, sizing and validation of HVAC and liquid-cooling systems (including ?T, ?P, pipe sizing, valves, separators and pressurisation solutions).
  • Translate cooling requirements into new product concepts across valves, fittings, degassers, expansion vessels and related system components.
  • Customise solutions for specific data-centre builds, producing BoMs, valve schedules, layouts and installation notes.
  • Monitor market trends, technologies and standards to inform long-term product roadmap decisions.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to Product Management and R&D, defining specifications and prioritising improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership, mentoring colleagues and representing the organisation within the industry.

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Thermal or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years' hands-on HVAC, thermal-system or liquid-cooling design experience (data-centre background helpful but not essential).
  • Working understanding of cooling topologies, reliability requirements and industry guidelines (e.g., ASHRAE TC 9.9).
  • Experience in product design or R&D, with exposure to CAD, prototyping and testing.
  • Ideally familiar with fluid-control products, BIM/AutoCAD, and basic CFD/thermal modelling.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally and take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
  • Detail-driven, structured and comfortable working both from drawings and on-site.

Job Offer

What's on offer:

  • Competitive salary/package including hybrid working.
  • A highly specialised engineering role at the forefront of an emerging technology.
  • Significant scope for career growth.
  • The opportunity to influence future product strategy, shape an emerging technology area, and become a recognised in-house expert.
  • A collaborative, innovation-focused environment where your ideas and technical leadership directly impact future solutions.
