Border Patrol Agent Job Summary

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Border Patrol Agents.

As a BPA, you will play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders and enforcing immigration laws. You will work closely with other law enforcement agencies to prevent the entry of undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the border.

You will be responsible for detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing illegal entry, making arrests when necessary, analyzing information rapidly, dealing effectively with people in connection with law enforcement matters, exercising sound judgment in the use of firearms.
