• Prevent undocumented noncitizens from crossing the border


• Maintain surveillance using various methods including infrared scopes at night


• Follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry


• Carry out farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks among others duties as outlined below:
