Our client is seeking a Senior Digital Transformation Lead for end-to-end transition planning, market trials preparation, and cutover execution for a major market systems upgrade, ensuring alignment across technology, business processes, regulatory rules, and operational stakeholders.
Must Have skills
Large-scale system transition experience (e.g., market systems, utility infrastructure)
Cutover management and/or systems integration background
Cross-functional leadership across technical and business teams under tight timelines
Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
Trial governance, milestone management, and participant engagement coordination
Nice to have skills
Understanding of utility/ISO markets, operations, or transmission planning environments
Experience leading mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, go-live, and stabilization/hypercare activities
Experience with defect monitoring, resolution oversight, dashboards, and readiness/performance reporting
Responsibilities
Lead transition planning and governance for a major market systems upgrade, ensuring alignment across business, technology, operations, and regulatory requirements.
Design and coordinate market trials: test planning, milestones, participant engagement, and internal readiness assessments.
Coordinate with program/project managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure trial scenarios reflect operational realities.
Monitor defects, oversee resolution, and provide dashboards/performance reports to support production readiness communications.
Maintain stakeholder communications including steering committee updates and post-event reporting.
Develop and maintain an integrated cutover plan (timeline, dependencies, resourcing) and lead mock cutovers through go-live and stabilization.
Establish risk mitigation, backout procedures, and contingency strategies; ensure cutover complies with market rules and reliability requirements.
