Role Overview
The IT Systems Specialist is a vital member of St. Paul's Foundation, supporting our mission to enhance patient care and community health through effective fundraising and donor engagement. This role ensures the integrity, usability, and efficiency of our digital systems, enabling our teams to make data-informed decisions and deliver exceptional donor experiences.
This role will work closely with internal stakeholders across fundraising, marketing, and operations, helping optimize technology solutions, streamline processes, and provide frontline support for our digital platforms. The IT Systems Specialist contributions will directly impact the Foundation's ability to raise funds that support patients, caregivers, and families across BC.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with teams across the Foundation to support digital fundraising strategies, campaigns, and initiatives.
Maintain and contribute to a technology product roadmap, ensuring our software platforms evolve to meet organizational needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technology, data, and process challenges to support business operations.
Lead data management initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
Support integrations between CRM, online donation tools, email marketing platforms, and internal systems.
Prepare, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards to support analysis, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making.
Manage user access and provide support for online donation and fundraising systems, in collaboration with the Database Manager.
Implement and maintain appropriate security and data protection protocols.
Train and support staff in system use, data management best practices, and technology adoption.
Assist with email marketing campaigns, including e-newsletters and digital solicitations.
Support ongoing development and optimization of the Foundation's intranet.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and undertake other related duties as required.
Provide technical guidance, training, and problem-solving support to end-users.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful completion of post-secondary education in IT, Computer Science, or related field, required.
A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in IT support, CRM/database management, or digital/data platforms required (experience working for a nonprofit is an asset).
Experience with CRM systems required; experience working with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge) and online donation tools, an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, Active Directory) required.
Strong data management and reporting skills; Excel required, data visualization tool preferred.
Experience with system integrations or workflows preferred.
Skilled at managing multiple priorities and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
