Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated Aerospace Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Quality & Regulatory Compliance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continued compliance with applicable aviation authority regulations (e.g., Transport Canada CARs, FAA, EASA), ISO9001, AS9100D, Nadcap standards, customer requirements, and internal Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Senior Leadership to promote a culture of quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Objectives
Maintain and enhance compliance with regulatory authorities, customers, and industry standards (AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015).
Support the integrity, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure ongoing certification, accreditation, and licensing in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Promote risk-based thinking and quality culture across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
Regulatory & QMS Compliance
Conduct process audits and compliance reviews of repair, overhaul, and manufacturing operations to ensure conformity with:
AS9100D / ISO 9001
Applicable Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs, FAA, EASA as applicable)
Customer contractual requirements
Internal procedures and policies
Manage nonconformities and quality escapes using structured root cause analysis methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
Lead or support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in accordance with AS9100D requirements.
Support responses to customer corrective action requests (SCARs) and regulatory findings.
Monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvement initiatives.
Participate in risk assessments and integrate risk-based thinking into quality processes.
Support configuration management and document control in accordance with QMS standards.
Maintain and continuously improve documented procedures, work instructions, and quality records within the electronic QMS system.
Ensure proper control of technical data and regulatory documentation.
Audits & Certification Management
Plan, conduct, and report internal audits in accordance with AS9100D.
Support and coordinate external audits (e.g., certification bodies, aviation authorities, customer audits).
Track audit findings, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
Support initial and ongoing certification efforts, including scope expansion and regulatory approvals.
Ensure audit readiness across departments through proactive engagement and training.
Supplier & Customer Quality Support
Support supplier quality oversight, including performance monitoring and corrective action follow-up.
Participate in supplier audits as required.
Interface with customers on quality-related matters and continuous improvement initiatives.
Training & Quality Culture
Support the development, maintenance, and tracking of the internal Quality and Regulatory training program.
Ensure personnel competency in accordance with AS9100D.
Provide quality awareness training across departments.
Ensure controlled access to OEM technical publications and regulatory documentation.
Promote a strong quality and safety culture aligned with SMS principles.
Your ideal background
College diploma in aircraft maintenance or equivalent or other relevant training.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in aerospace quality, MRO, manufacturing, or regulatory compliance.
In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including but not limited to TCCA requirements.
Internal Auditor certification (AS9100) considered an asset.
Proactive with proven problem-solving skills.
Strong analytics for root cause analysis.
Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
Ability to interface with regulatory authorities and customers professionally.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Ability to work well in a team, as well as alone with little supervision.
Proficiency with Office365.
Bilingual (French and English)*.
The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.
