This is your chance to apply your engineering knowledge to real municipal infrastructure that shapes communities across Prince Edward Island. As a Municipal Engineering Student in our Transportation & Infrastructure group in Summerside, you'll support meaningful work that improves the systems people rely on every day—from drinking water and wastewater facilities to transportation networks, stormwater management, and land development.
Your Impact
Contribute to the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, transportation, and land development projects that support safe, resilient communities.
Perform on‑site construction reviews to verify work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
Collect field data, support water and sewer testing, and assist with as‑built documentation that informs project completion.
Develop technical inputs including hydrologic/hydraulic models, design drawings, cost estimates, and reports under the guidance of professional engineers.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions that support sustainability and long‑term community needs.
Support communication with internal project managers, design teams, and external contractors to maintain project momentum and accuracy.

You're progressing through a civil engineering degree and eager to apply your knowledge to real projects that serve the public.
You're energized by both office design work and hands‑on field experience—and don't mind getting your boots muddy.
You bring curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
You're comfortable using MS Office, and exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey equipment (GPS/total station), or modeling tools is considered an asset.
You hold a valid PEI driver's licence, and access to a vehicle is an asset.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 – $32.25
MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $21.50 – $30.25
