Armour is currently hiring for aWarehouse / Dock Supervisor (Night Shift)in Corner Brook, NL.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible to watch for and address warehouse safety concerns, i.e. safety vest, steel toe shoes, dock obstacles & cleanliness
Ensure freight is secured properly using load bars, straps and tables
Communicate with drivers and yard shunter to ensure wheel chocks are pulled, dock levelers are removed and doors are closed.
Ensure proper equipment is utilized for each outbound lane, i.e. LCV(equipment planning), logistic posts, temperature controlled
Ensure "Rush" orders are loaded and turned over to Dispatch on time
Ensure all dedicated LTL delivery and straight truck units are loaded for early am cut off time
Effectively communicate with the Gate (or Dispatch) in efforts to minimize shunts, i.e. proper door upon arrival of unit
Responsible to update the strip board timely
Ensure expectations are met to attain Reweigh & Cube goals
Conduct formal Cross Dock tours as directed, using the Dock Office Control tool to help identify and escalate any applicable variances to the Continuous Improvement Program (where applicable)
Attend any preplanned meetings, i.e. Transition Meetings, Daily Review Meetings, Weekly Shift Meetings
Respond to any correspondence and voice mails within agreed timelines.
