We are a new Canadian snack brand launching a line of Roasted Water Lily Seeds (Makhana). We are looking for a top-tier visual designer to create our packaging, brand character (mascot), and initial website assets.
Our product is an ancient superfood, but we want to present it with a modern, high-energy, "DTC" (Direct-to-Consumer) aesthetic. Think bold typography, vibrant colors, and custom illustration.
Visual Style & Inspiration:
We are aiming for the "Modern Nostalgia" style seen in brands like:
Magic Spoon (Cereal)
Goodles (Mac & Cheese)
Three Wishes
Scope of Work:
Packaging Design:
Design for 3 SKU variants (Standup Pouch with Ziplock).
Same layout, but different color palettes/illustrations for each flavor.
Must accommodate Bilingual Text (English & French). Experience with Canadian packaging laws is a huge plus, but not mandatory if you are good with tight layouts.
Mascot/Character Illustration:
Creation of a unique brand mascot to be the "face" of the packaging.
Note: If you are a designer but NOT an illustrator, please specify this. We prefer a specialist who can do both, but are open to proposals.
Digital/Website Assets:
3D Photorealistic Renders of the pouches (for Shopify).
3-4 Website Banners (Hero image, etc.) based on the packaging theme.
A simple Style Guide (Fonts, Color Hex codes).
Deliverables:
Print-ready source files (Adobe Illustrator/AI/PDF) with layers organized.
High-res 3D mockups (PNG/JPG).
Ownership of all IP and source files upon payment.
Timeline:
We are aiming to finalize the design within 2 weeks of hiring.
What We Will Provide:
Logo (Open to tweaks to fit the new vibe).
Dielines (Manufacturer die-cut provided later).
Brand Story & Copy (already written).
