Position Overview

The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across procurement, planning, manufacturing support, logistics, inventory management, and trade compliance. This role ensures the organization can scale efficiently while balancing cost, service, quality, and risk.

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Director, Supply Chain will build strong supplier partnerships, proactively manage global supply and tariff risk, and lead a high-performing team aligned with business growth and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans
  • Partner with senior leadership on capacity planning, capital investments, and supply chain risk mitigation
  • Develop a deep understanding of TAG's operations, ensuring supply strategies and tariff management proactively align with market conditions and customer requirements
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making

Procurement, Supplier Management & Logistics

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with growth, margin, and service-level objectives
  • Build and maintain strong domestic and international supplier relationships to ensure continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness
  • Lead major sourcing initiatives including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance management
  • Drive supplier risk management, diversification, and contingency planning
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics strategies to optimize cost, service levels, and delivery performance
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales to align supply and demand
  • Lead high impact vendor negotiations with a strong focus on cost reduction, contract optimization, and margin improvement while maintaining effective supplier relationships.
  • Drive structured cost-cutting initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to deliver measurable and sustainable savings.

Planning, Inventory & Systems

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective demand planning, production planning, and inventory optimization
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to inventory turns, service levels, lead times, and forecast accuracy
  • Drive effective use of ERP (Syspro) and planning systems to enable data-driven decision making and scalability
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, resilience, and visibility across the supply chain

Trade Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and regulatory requirements
  • Proactively manage tariff exposure, trade risks, and changing regulatory environments
  • Partner with external advisors and internal stakeholders to maintain compliant and cost-effective trade practices

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain and trade compliance team
  • Build scalable team structures and capabilities to support growth
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement 

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong experience with ERP and MRP systems and supply chain analytics
  • Demonstrated experience managing tariffs, trade compliance, and global sourcing complexity
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex and high-stakes situations
  • Strategic and critical thinker with a proactive, solutions-based mindset
  • Influential leader with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to lead and align cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Advanced excel experience
