Reporting to the Manager, Contract Management and Business Support, DPSA, the successful candidate will be accountable for a range of lower complexity contract management responsibilities. As well, the role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with demonstrated capability in data analysis and reporting.
What you'll be doing
Set up new and changed contracts - enter transactional information including contract updates, amendments, performance requirements and status, billing schedules and information into financial and contracting management systems and databases Verify the validity, timelines and accuracy of invoice receipt and payment requests Prepare a biweekly performance dashboard, a daily US Department of Defence transactional report, ERP reporting, and additional ad hoc reports as required Initiate payment, billing and collection actions and undertake required issue resolution through analysis and contact with contract stakeholders Assist in the preparation of certification requirement documentation for suppliers and notices to government departments Manage assigned low risk, low complexity export contracts from contract award to delivery of goods and services, monitoring the performance/obligations of both the Canadian exporter and foreign buyer to ensure conformity with contract terms and conditions; resolves problems affecting the successful completion of the contract Negotiate and manage contract amendments, terminations, extensions, and amend delivery or payment schedules as required, within Delegation of Financial Authorities to minimize CCC risk and ensure buyer and customer satisfaction Participate in production progress meetings to ensure that production activities are on track and that product delivery will be made on schedule What you'll bring to CCC
Completion of a post secondary education in commerce or business administration Minimum of 2 years of experience in contracting and financial management Knowledge of a range of contracting instruments such as letters of credit, bond guarantees, research and development production cost reimbursements, foreign banking and transfers. Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices Strong excel capabilities and experience with dashboards/reporting Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, regulations, and guidelines English Essential.
