Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Spray Foam Apprentice in Edmonton. You assist Spray Foam Applicators with equipment setup, surface preparation, application support, quality checks, and record-keeping. You maintain safety, professionalism, and high-quality standards across worksites and interact with team members and clients.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Spray Foam Applicators with preparing and setting up equipment and materials including additional tasks.
• Preparing surfaces for application by cleaning, masking, and supporting applying spray foam insulation under the guidance of experienced applicators.
• Assisting in inspecting and correcting work as directed (QAQC).
• Assisting in maintaining accurate records of work performed, including materials used and job site conditions (DWR, Inventory).
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including warehouse, job sites and truck.
• Ensuring accurate vehicle inspections are completed daily and all pertinent information is relayed to the appropriate parties immediately.
• Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensuring transparent communications with both the applicators and the Spray Foam Manager.
• Ensuring respectful, professional, responsible and accountable communication with Empire Envelope teams, builders, homeowners, trades, and divisions.
• Assisting, upholding and protecting the high-quality standards of Empire Envelope. and ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.

Essential Requirements

• No prior experience required.
• Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment use (preferred)
• Class 5 Drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects. 
• Comfortable using related tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.

Working Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
