Border Patrol Agent
Key Responsibilities:- Prevent illegal border crossings by utilizing surveillance systems, detection equipment and communication tools.
- Verify documents and inspect possessions to determine citizenship or violations at entry points such as airports, seaports and border crossings.
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws when entering the US.
Fulfilling this role requires one year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Specialized knowledge in law enforcement, military police service or local/state law enforcement organizations is beneficial. Prior work provides high-graded BP opportunities with a sense of mission camaraderie making daily contributions.
