Border Patrol Agent: Protecting America's Borders
About the Job
A Border Patrol Agent is a key member of our team, responsible for safeguarding our nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws. As a BPA, you will play a vital role in preventing illicit activity and enhancing economic prosperity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders
- Maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
- Analyzing information rapidly to make prompt decisions in law enforcement matters
The position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong analytical abilities. A high level of physical fitness is also essential due to the demands of the job.
