• Safeguard national security by enforcing customs laws and regulations related to importing/exporting goods;


• Conduct inspections of individuals/conveyances for potential threats;


• Evaluate admissibility of individuals entering the United States;


• Pursue smugglers/traffickers attempting to evade detection.
