Border Enforcement Specialist

The U.S. Border Patrol is hiring career positions in federal law enforcement where your prior experience in public safety, security, military police or law enforcement may qualify.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship status.


• Maintain surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations to prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens at the borders.


• Interpret physical evidence such as tracks, marks, and other signs of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
