As a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of an elite team tasked with safeguarding America's borders. Your role will involve detecting and preventing the entry of undocumented noncitizens and smugglers while maintaining surveillance from covert positions.

You will also be responsible for interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence to identify individuals or contraband crossing the border.

• To qualify at the GL-5 level, applicants must have one year of general work experience demonstrating their ability to take charge, make sound decisions under pressure, learn regulations through training or on-the-job instruction

• Applicants can also qualify if they possess a bachelor's degree or successfully complete four years of study in any field leading to a degree from an accredited college or university
