Information Technology Manager – USAWOCC Support Location: Fort Novosel, AL Clearance: Active U.S. SECRET (required) Position Overview The Information Technology Manager provides full‑spectrum IT management and technical support to the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Career College (USAWOCC). This role ensures the reliability, security, and modernization of all information systems supporting more than 110 cadre, 2,800 annual students, and 26 classrooms. The position augments the S6/Information Management Officer and sustains critical Enterprise Classroom Program (ECP) facilities across campus. Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day IT operations, including system administration, network and user account management, and classroom technology support. Manage the S6 Helpdesk and Trouble Ticket Portal, ensuring timely resolution of user issues in accordance with Army standards. Oversee Active Directory account creation, modification, and termination for cadre and students. Administer Army365 licenses, DMUC mobility devices, and the Account Validation System, including DD Form 2875 processing. Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and manage lifecycle replacement (LCR) activities using CHESS‑approved procurement processes. Support 26 instructional classrooms, ensuring audio‑visual and instructional technologies remain fully mission‑capable. Coordinate with Fort Novosel NEC, ECP representatives, and USAWOCC leadership to ensure compliance with Army and DoD IT policies. Provide project planning, scheduling, risk tracking, and reporting for IT initiatives and modernization efforts. Manage equipment warranties, repairs, and vendor coordination. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field. CompTIA Security+ certification (required); PMP certification (desired). Minimum 12 years of experience in IT or project management supporting complex enterprise environments. Active U.S. SECRET clearance at time of hire; interim SECRET with favorable NAC acceptable. Demonstrated experience with Windows administration, AD account management, hardware/software troubleshooting, and PowerShell scripting. Experience managing lifecycle replacement programs, warranty processes, and IT asset inventories. Security Requirements Must hold and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance in DISS for the duration of the contract.
