We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout our facility. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, and staging materials. If you are a physically fit individual with a strong commitment to Safety and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment, this is an excellent opportunity. We are looking for reliable individuals who can contribute to our operational success and maintain a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload shipments, manually or with equipment.
- Transport materials within the warehouse to designated locations.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming goods.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent and safe Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
