Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and take charge of maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory. In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock inaccuracies. You will monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and work closely with the operations team to optimize stock rotation and storage. Maintaining precise inventory records is critical to our **logistics** success, ensuring that we always have the right products in the right place at the right time. Your efforts will directly impact order fulfillment rates and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong analytical skills, a methodical approach, and the ability to work independently. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software is highly desirable. You must be proficient in data analysis and possess excellent problem-solving abilities. A commitment to adhering to **safety** regulations and using **PPE** is non-negotiable. While this role is primarily focused on data and analysis, occasional **lifting** of inventory items may be necessary during physical counts or investigations. We are looking for someone who can proactively identify and resolve issues, contributing to a more efficient and effective warehouse operation. Your attention to detail will be key in ensuring the accuracy of our vast inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with **safety** policies and proper use of **PPE**.
- Assist with **lifting** as required for inventory checks.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Support **logistics** planning by providing accurate inventory data.
