We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the intake of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining proper documentation. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, a systematic approach to tasks, and a strong commitment to upholding safety standards within the warehouse. Your contributions will directly impact the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Accurately document all received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and tag merchandise according to established procedures.
- Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure a seamless flow of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
