We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. This includes unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and ensuring proper documentation. Your attention to detail is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our operational flow. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our warehouse receives materials correctly, which is fundamental to our logistics success. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage and report discrepancies.
- Properly document all received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory control and stock management as needed.
- Perform occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and receiving procedures.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
